Let’s face it – very few people enjoy visiting the dentist. It is estimated that as many as 75% of US adults experience some degree of dental fear, from mild to severe. Thankfully, when visiting Dr. Rhea or Dr. Doherty, you have nothing to worry about!

Whether this is your first ever trip to the dentist or this is just your first trip in a while, we want to make sure you are comfortable and relaxed.

Rest assured, there are some things you can do to prepare for your first visit. Coming prepared to your first visit gives us the most opportunity to spend time with you and address your needs.

  • Before your first visit, please print and fill out the New Patient Form.
  • Please include any past X-Rays from previous dentists.
  • Bring any insurance information you have so we can help you receive the most benefit available to you.*
  • Plan on arriving on time or even a bit early. Running on schedule is very important to us.

The main objectives are to talk with you about your concerns, answer all of your questions then set some dental goals. It is also important to spend a bit of time to think about what you want for yourself, today and in the future.

We will perform a thorough examination and then decide what additional evaluation or procedures are appropriate. This may involve taking X-Rays, making plaster models of your teeth, and performing other diagnostic tests.

Once the examination and evaluations are concluded, we’ll work with you to develop a dental health plan that will fulfill your dental goals and preserve or restore your overall dental health. Now, that was painless!
