Our First Meeting
Your dental health and comfort are our primary concerns. On your first visit to the office, our main objectives are to talk with you about your concerns, answer all of your questions, and set your dental goals.
In order to save time at the office, please print and fill out the New Patient Packet below. Coming prepared for your first visit gives us the most opportunity to spend time with you and address your needs.
Please include any past X-Rays from previous dentists. You can have them emailed to peg@brentwoodfamilydentistry.net. Also bring any insurance information you have so we can help you receive the most benefit available to you.
It is also important to spend a bit of time thinking about what you want for yourself, today and in the future. After we are both clear on your personal dental goals we will examine your mouth to establish a diagnosis.
After completing a thorough examination, which may involve taking X-Ray and performing other diagnostic tests, we will discuss our findings and determine if there are any treatment needs. We will then work with you to come up with a treatment plan that will fulfill your dental goals and preserve and/or restore your overall dental health.
We know your time is valuable and we usually complete a routine cleaning of your teeth at your first appointment, if that is indicated. Before you leave, we will make sure all your questions are answered and we can set up any future appointments needed.
*Running on schedule is very important to us. We would ask that you try to arrive at the office on time–or even a bit early. Sometimes we are ahead of schedule, and we’ll get to take you early. We know that your time is very important and strive to respect it.
**Please remember that the extent of your insurance coverage is based on an agreement between you (the patient) and your insurance company. It is not an agreement between our office and the insurance company. It is the responsibility of the patient to pay for any treatment agreed to.

Dr. Daniel T. Doherty
A graduate of the University of Missouri Dental School in Kansas City. He also holds the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Biology from University of Missouri-Columbia.
Dr. Michael J. Doherty
A graduate of the University of Missouri Dental School in Kansas City. He also holds the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from St. Louis University.
Dr. Michael R. Doherty
A graduate of the University of Missouri- Kansas City Dental School. He also has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Truman State University.
